Community Alcohol Partnerships (CAP) is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2026 CAP Awards, recognising outstanding contributions in tackling underage drinking and promoting responsible drinking among children and young people. The awards are open to individuals and organisations that have demonstrated exceptional achievements within CAPs during 2025.

Nominations will be open from Monday 03 November 2025 and close on Friday 16 January 2026 at 1pm with the winners set to be awarded at an event to be held in London in March 2026.

Last year's winners included:

  • Workington CAP for its transformation of youth engagement and its impact on educating young people.
  • Bob McKenzie from Orkney CAP won the award for his outstanding work in alcohol education in Orkney.
  • Cardiff CAP which was recognised for its innovative student nightlife project 'My Drink. My Choice.'.

The CAP Awards highlight the incredible work being done by over 350 Community Alcohol Partnerships across the UK. CAPs unite local stakeholders, including retailers, local authorities, police, schools, neighbourhood groups, and health providers, to protect children and young people from alcohol harm and encourage responsible drinking among young adults.
