Innovation and creativity remain at the heart of what our Community Alcohol Partnerships (CAPs) do best. Across the country, CAPs are developing imaginative ways to engage children and young people, helping them understand why an alcohol-free childhood is so important.

Building on the success of last year’s launch, we’re thrilled to announce that the CAP Innovation Fund is back for a second year - offering up to £5,000 in grant funding to support inspiring, creative projects that make a real impact.

Why Are We Doing This?

We know that tackling underage drinking and anti-social behaviour isn’t just about enforcement—it's about engagement, positivity and community. When young people are involved in enjoyable, purposeful activities with a supportive peer group, the results speak for themselves.

That’s why we’re investing once again in bold, original ideas that put creativity at the centre of local solutions.

What Is the CAP Innovation Fund?

The Innovation Fund offers active CAPs the opportunity to bring their best ideas to life—projects that support young people, reduce alcohol-related harm, and enhance community wellbeing.

Whether it’s a creative campaign, a youth-led initiative, new equipment or training, or something totally outside the box—we’re looking for ideas that stand out, spark change, and have the potential to inspire others.

What’s New This Year?

We were blown away by the energy and imagination behind last year’s applications—from street artwork shops to video and song productions to cooking TikTok campaigns. This year, we want to go even further. We’re especially interested in projects that:

  • Show a strong partnership approach.
  • Are youth-driven or co-designed with young people.
  • Offer something new to your local area.
  • Can be shared as good practice with other CAPs.

Key Details

  • Grant amount: Up to £5,000 per CAP
