CAP is hosting a webinar on March 23 to showcase best practice in reducing alcohol-related harm and vulnerability to young adults.

There will be short presentations from key speakers including:

• Tracy Lumb - Senior Project Manager from SOS-UK who will talk about its Drink ReThink and Alcohol Impact programmes

• Helena Conibear - CEO of the Alcohol Education Trust - reporting on its submission to the House of Lords Report on drink spiking

• Sylvia Oates - CEO of Best Bar None – presenting Best Bar None’s work to reduce alcohol harm in the night time economy

• Rita King - joint CEO of the Safer Business Network talking about Ask for Angela and the Women’s Night Safety Charter

The webinar will also discuss setting up your own CAP to reduce alcohol harm among young people in your community.

It will take place from 10am-11.30am on Wednesday, 23 March 2022 and you can register for this FREE event here. We hope to see you there!

This is the second in a series of CAP webinars, following our hugely successful event last November when experts discussed how CAP’s focus on providing alcohol education, working with retailers and delivering positive activities for young people is so effective. If you would like to watch the recording of that webinar, please click here and use the password CAP2021.

Alcohol and underage drinking is the underlying cause of a range of problems so by tackling this issue through early intervention and by taking prompt, positive action whenever problems start to emerge we can make a real difference in communities, whilst at the same time helping to stop young people being drawn further into offending and into the Criminal Justice System. I am delighted to offer my support to the Community Alcohol Partnership projects in South Wales.
