Welcome to Community Alcohol Partnerships

Cat Smith MP with Samantha Beetham and Lisa Richardson

This October we are holding our annual CAP celebration event at the Welsh Assembly in Cardiff, when we’ll announce the winners of our 2018 CAP Awards.

These awards recognise exceptional achievements in tackling underage drinking during the preceding year and provide a great opportunity to encourage awareness of the vital work which local partnerships are doing to improve our communities.

You can nominate one or more individuals involved in CAP, your local CAP itself or a local organisation which has played a prominent role in making the CAP’s work a success.

If you’d like a nomination form, please contact [email protected] and do remember to return it by Friday August 24. We’re looking forward to seeing your nominations!

As Chief Executive of the Chartered Trading Standards Institute it is great to see the growth of Community Alcohol Partnerships. They are an amazing way to bring businesses, regulators and communities together to deliver lasting solutions to the issues that underage drinking has on communities and young people. One of my proudest achievements in trading standards was the establishment of the first ever Community Alcohol Partnership and I know colleagues up and down the country are equally proud of the benefits that their local schemes are bringing.
